Jean Meiggs Wesson Worley

Jean Meiggs Wesson Worley, 94, died at her home on Lake Gaston Monday, September 30, 2019.

Mrs. Worley was born, September 29, 1925, one of twelve children, to the late George Washington and Sarah Francis Bright Meiggs. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Bill Wesson and John Worley and her son, George Wesson.

Mrs. Worley is survived by her son Bill Wesson and his wife, Ev of Henrico; her step daughter Sue Hopping and her husband, Alan, of Burlington, Wisconsin; her sister, Ruth Crain of Coinjock, NC; her daughter-in-law Lynn Tomlinson of Ashland City, Tennessee; her five grandchildren, Julie Erikson, Kim Witry and David Thornton, Byron Tyler and Darian Tyler; her nine great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at 3pm at Lake Gaston Baptist Church with Dr. Adam Hammond and Rev. Josiah Antil officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery immediately following the service.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, October 5, 2019 from 1:30pm until service time at the Church.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in her name be made to The Cancer Support Team to Ladies of the Lake C/O Sandy Burch, Treasure 139 Southwest Court Henrico, NC 27842.
